We are welcoming in the new financial year with new sales benchmark study for newsagents, comparing 2007/08 to 206/07. This will be a quick turnaround study with results hopefully published next week so that our broader newsagent user community can compare results.

Our goal is to see how retail newsagents are traveling and thereby provide some tips from the more successful businesses.

To participate, newsagents are asked to run the Monthly Sales Comparison report: on the left side select July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 and on the right July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007. Tick the box to include category breakdown. Tick the box to exclude home delivery sales. Once on the screen, save the report as a PDF. Email this to mark@towersystems.com.au.

Participation is free and the results will be published here and elsewhere as a service to all newsagents.
